We were sustainable before it was cool

Our Story

Back in 1997, when most agriculture still relied heavily on chemicals, Martin Suchánek and Jiří Klimeš chose a different path. They believed the future belonged to nature and microorganisms — that plants could be supported without harming the soil or people. At a time when sustainability was barely talked about, they quietly began building something deeply meaningful. Without grand words, but with determination and faith that this was the right way forward. And that vision lives on today.

In 2024, Ivana Suchánková and Vilém Suchánek picked up the torch. They united two Czech brands, Biopreparáty and Bard, bringing fresh energy and experience. The result is BIOGAMA. BIOGAMA is more than a name. It’s the continuation of a journey started over twenty-seven years ago — a journey grounded in trust in nature, healthy soil, and honest work. We believe agriculture can be gentle, sustainable, and productive all at once. And that the future grows best where we give it room to thrive. We’ve been here from the start. And we’re moving forward.

Behind every one of our products are years of research, testing, and development. We harness the natural power of microorganisms and have transformed it into a patented technology with a real impact on sustainable agriculture.

We are the first—and still the only—company in the world to bring to market a biological fungicide based on the fungus Pythium oligandrum. This hyperparasitic organism can effectively suppress harmful soil-borne pathogens without disturbing the ecosystem’s natural balance. This unique ability is at the very heart of our patented technology.

The patented Biogama technology is the result of dedication and collaboration among scientists, developers, and those who use our products every day. Thanks to it, we are now helping farmers across Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and China. And we’re not stopping there—we’re setting our sights on the Americas, Asia, and sub-Saharan Africa.
